Shooting at 10 fps is possible only in a special mode, which is selected on the main command dial. In this mode, you cannot control all shooting parameters - in particular, you cannot set the shutter speed, and the aperture can only be controlled in the AF-S or M focusing mode. exposure. If you use focus mode AF-C, then shooting will always be carried out at the maximum available aperture value.

The camera does not show the number of frames that remained until the frame buffer was full. When I was shooting using a Transcend SDHC 32GB class 10 card, before the camera started to slow down, I could get about 17 pictures in RAW format (Sony ARW) and 30 pictures in JPEG format (aspect ratio 3: 2, L: 16M high quality).

Particularly pleasing is the large fleet of good old Minolta optics, which has very good lenses and is especially pleased with its price. The battery in the A55 is small, about 500 frames, not more than the A580, in which I clicked 1780 frames. The electronic viewfinder probably consumes too. I did not notice the fact that a translucent mirror absorbs part of the light, in any case, it’s not exactly 30 percent as they say everywhere, the matrices of A55 and A580 are the same, I didn’t notice a special difference.

    Two cetaceans, 18-55 and 75-300, came with the camera. The quality of the picture from the big one was not good, but the small backlash has large designs. I bought 50-55 whales for 200 dollars, from which some portraits began to be obtained.

    A joke that is still incomprehensible to me, in poor lighting conditions, in aperture priority mode, the camera not only shows a bright beautiful picture in the viewfinder, but also makes the pictures brighter than the reality.
    It is also important to mention that in standard settings the picture is greatly embellished in colors. Makes of old faded parquet, for example, brightly colored. But this is for fans of photoshopping. I did not like. I zaminusil in the color settings so that the color rendition was natural.

There is little point in 20 raw frames in a row, if then a minute is unloaded onto the card and the camera is inoperative. What can you shoot in series like that?

    They can occasionally write that it all depends on the class of the memory card. Although in my experience, not much depends on the class. Some ancient Uz, for example, or old CZK could write a series on ancient cards endlessly, until the battery sits down or the card is full. And many “modern” ones shut up after a dozen shots ...
