Review Auto-Promura CP Hi-Lux 1: 4.5 f = 80-200mm Macro

Auto-Promura CP Hi-Lux 1: 4.5 f = 80-200mm Macro - pump-action zoom with constant maximum aperture F / 4.5 for Contax / Yashica mount film cameras. Almost all pump lenses of the 70 (75, 80) - 200 (210) mm F / 4.0 (F / 4.5) class are very similar to each other. For example, Promura is visually very similar to Auto Zoom Makinon-Serie E MC 1: 4.0 f = 80-200mm Macro and many others like it. But a Soviet lens with similar parameters - ZOOM ARSAT H 1: 4.5 80-200mm, much more bulky.

Enlightenment of the front lens Auto-Promura CP Hi-Lux 1: 4.5 f = 80-200mm Macro

A very wide rubberized ring is responsible for focusing and changing the focal length. The focusing ring rotates approximately 180 degrees, and the front lens rotates with it. But the rear lens remains stationary when zooming and focusing (a characteristic feature for such lenses). The minimum focusing distance is 1.5 meters, at 200 mm you can get 1: 6 magnification. And again, the macro mode marks on the lens are indicated for the sake of a tick. The lens has a 6-blade blinking diaphragm. The rest of the indicators are visible in the lens images.

Sample Photos

I used a lens with a C / Y-Nikon adapter with a correction lens, so it’s hard for me to judge the image quality. Without a lens on the Nikon system, the ability to focus on infinity will be lost. An article about old Nikon lenses.

The parameters shown in the photo gallery:

Everything is filmed on Nikon D80. On-camera JPEG L Fine. Functions that enhance the image, such as noise reduction at slow shutter speeds and noise reduction at high ISO, were turned off. Everything was shot in N (Neutral) Picture Control. Was used white balance: 'Auto', 'Shadow', 'Sunny'. Photos have been scaled down to 1620px by 1080px (roughly 2 MP) using FastStone Photo Resizer 3.0, and data from EXIF JPEG file module. When reducing the size of the photos, quality equal to 85% of the original was used, the Lanczos3 compression method.
