For Vivitar 70-210mm 1: 4,5 MC Macro Focusing Zoom N / AI, many thanks to Igor Ark, who sent me a lens for review.

Vivitar 70-210mm 1: 4,5 MC Macro Focusing Zoom review
The Vivitar 70-210mm 1: 4,5 MC Macro Focusing Zoom N / AI is an old film zoom lens with a constant maximum aperture of F / 4.5. The lens is suitable for modern full-frame cameras, my Vivitar 70-210mm f / 4.5 variant has a Nikon F mount and is an AI lens for Nikon cameras. How to use old Nikon AI non-autofocus lenses - read the pro section AI-S. Vivitar 70-210mm F / 4.5 was produced under various popular mounts.

Multi-enlightenment (MC) of the front and rear lenses of the Vivitar 70-210mm F / 4.5 lens.
The lens focuses smoothly, but the focus ring rotates only 60 degrees. It’s inconvenient to focus... When focusing, the front lens rotates, while the lens trunk is lengthened. The focusing ring is rubberized and serves both for focusing and for changing the focal length. The Vivitar 70-210mm f / 4.5 is a pump-action single-ring lens. The MDF of the lens is 1.6 meters. The lens does not have a depth of field scale. The aperture closes to F / 22, the number of aperture blades is 6 pieces.

The lens has macro mode, to go to which you need to set 210 mm of the focal length and rotate the focus ring towards MDF. In macro mode, MDF is 1.1 meters. The macro on the lens is very weak.... The lens is labeled 'M-R', which most likely stands for 'Macro Rings', which means you need to use macro rings.

View of two Vivitar 70-210mm lenses
The lens is well assembled (Made in Japan), the diameter of the front filter is small, only 52 mm. The lens has no backlashes, it feels like a 'real thing' in the hand.

This lens loses in image quality to advanced Vivitar Series 1 70-210mm 1: 3.5 Macro Focusing Auto Zoom VMC N / AI. Nevertheless, the Vivitar 70-210mm F / 4.5 showed good sharpness, contrast and bokeh. It can be found at flea markets for a small price.
Conclusions:
The Vivitar 70-210mm 1: 4,5 MC Macro Focusing Zoom is a decent zoom with a constant maximum aperture of F / 4.5. Version Series 1 noticeably better.

I looked at test shots and remembered what I wanted to ask. Can the D5100 be made to shoot in wide aspect ratio (16: 9)? It's just that the 3: 4 format is not convenient for me at all, I don't print pictures, but there are stripes on the sides on the monitor ...
Maybe there is some firmware for this?
But do SLRs shoot 3: 4? Generally wider, 3: 2.
Shoot full HD when shooting. Are you sure that your monitor supports this format?
PySy to shoot, are you talking about video or about photos?
Well, if “I don’t print pictures”, then I don’t think it’s about printing videos :)
Well, yes, that's right - 3: 2. But this does not change the meaning. He shoots a video widescreen and not bad, but he does not know how to take pictures in such a proportion.
The great problem is to crop the picture up to 16: 9 ...
Buy monitor 4: 3
you need a non-650d it takes a photo of 19 by 9 and there are firmware there
Nice lens, thanks, let's take on arms!
How was the “boy in the car” photo taken with this lens? Can't I focus more than 3 meters?
Most likely, you either messed up with the shank, or the adapter is incorrectly calculated - such a problem occurs when the working length of the camera is larger than that for which the lens is designed - on Nikons it is the same with a lensless adapter for m42, for example. It turns out, as it were, a small macro-ring, which brings MDF a little closer, but at the same time infinity is lost ...
Dear Arkady, I did not find a review on MC Vivitar 75-30 / 4,5-5,6Macro. I really want to hear a comparison with Granit11N.
