This is a very useful feature when working with manual focus lenses. By the way, the camera works wonderfully with unchipped lenses. I have been using Sony SLT-A58 for 2 months now, according to the lenses: the Minolt lenses for it, at least we have a dime a dozen in Krasnoyarsk, now I use the Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Domiplan 50 mm f / 2.8, then Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm f / 2.8 well and Minolta AF 28 mm F / 2.8. I use the first two lenses through the adapter m42 / minolta A, minolta, respectively, directly. There are no problems with focusing on infinity and in general there are no others !!! As for the camera (I have it second after Nikon D600), there are no complaints at all, for my money, it fulfills interest in writing.
By the way:

My conclusion:
