For the opportunity Nikon D600 body review many thanks to Ivan Berdnik.
Nikon D600 is the first full-length amateur Nikon digital SLR camera. Prior to this, all full-frame CZK belonged only to a professional level. Nikon D600 is 'Full Frame to the Masses!'. The difference between the size of the matrix for type cameras APS-C Nikon DX and the size of the matrix for type cameras APS Nikon FXwhich the Nikon D600 belongs to is approximately 2.25 times. And believe me, in many cases matrix size really matters. True, a full-format camera requires only Fx lenses.
The Nikon D600 has a 24,3MP sensor. This is a good indicator for a full-frame camera, I believe that about 20MP for full-frame cameras is quite enough for almost any photo task, and for those who need to print posters there are monsters. Nikon D800, Nikon D800E and digital backs. If you are a miser and count all the pixels in the resulting image from the Nikon D600, then you can count 24.160.256 pixels, which allows you to reproduce a photo of 6016 by 4016 pixels.
In the spring of 2013, Nikon already has 5 cameras with 24MP and two cameras with 36MP.
- Nikon D3X - 24.38.553 pixels
- Nikon D600 - 24.160.256 pixels
- Nikon D3200 - 24.064.000 pixels
- Nikon D5200 - 24.000.000 pixels
- Nikon D7100 - 24.000.000 pixels
Before the release of the D600, only the Nikon D24x had a full-frame 3MP sensor, which, by the way, is already damn old, but the price of which does not fall at all. For me, the number of megapixels is practically not important. Personally, I’m even offended that manufacturers are increasing their number, and the noise level at high ISOs remains practically unchanged. Megapixels are not always as good as marketers assure, you can read more details in the section Battle of Megapixels.
Nikon D600 can work on ISO 100 to 6400 units and expand the value to Lo1 (equivalent ISO 50) and up to Hi2 (equivalent ISO 25.600) Here is the original example on ISO 6400 (noise reduction function is on). It's a sin to complain about the performance of the Nikon D600 at high ISO. The D600 has a lower level and a slightly different type of noise than my old lady Nikon D700.
With noise levels at high ISOs, the Nikon D600 is fine. True sorry that the Nikon D600, D800 and D800E have an ISO 6400 ceiling, older cameras could work at this value Nikon D700 и D3... It turns out that the pixels were added to the new cameras, but the ISO was forgotten. Only two models remain more efficient cameras in terms of high ISO for 2013 - Nikon D3s и D4that have a ceiling of ISO 12.800.
Nikon D600 uses the updated Nikon Multi-CAM 4800 focus sensor, this is an upgraded Nikon Multi-CAM 4800DX sensor, which can be found in Nikon D7000 и D5200. The camera uses 39 focus points, 9 of which are cruciforms. Unlike Nikon D7000 The new D600 can work with lenses with aperture up to F / 8.0. In practice, this means that the Nikon D600 focuses better in poor lighting conditions than D7000, D5200. I really don't like small viewfinder coverage with focus points. All the focus points of the Nikon D600 are in the center, which is not surprising, because here is just a modified focus system from a cropped camera. You can see more details about focus modules and their comparison here.
Many users have a choice between three Nikon D600 cameras, D700, D800 (E), such a plate may clarify the choice a bit:

For myself, I see no reason to switch from Nikon D700 on Nikon D600. Some may need video in the D600 and slightly more RAW processing due to better DD and lower noise. If the choice is the first full-frame camera, then, in my opinion, the D600 is an excellent option. When it comes to dynamic range, color depth, etc. in modern full-length cameras, I advise you to look here.
Despite the fact that the Nikon D600 camera has as much as 24 MP, with any RAW quality setting frame buffer, puts 15 frames in FX mode, 22 frames in DX mode. If you shoot in JPEG and turn off all the additional functions of software image enhancement, then 28 JPEG L frames in FX mode and 46 frames in DX mode are placed in the buffer. The buffer readings are just great for an amateur camera. The only negative is the inability to use a RAW file without compression. RAW is available with 12 or 14 bit color depth and with conventional or lossless compression.
The maximum shooting speed in any mode (with and without a booster) is 5.5 frames per second. This is enough for any type of shooting, it may not be enough for reporting, but the D600 is not a reporting camera.
The Nikon D600 has a nice viewfinder with 100% lens field of view and 0.7x magnification. It was pleasant enough for me to work with such a viewfinder, it is much more for the 'peephole' of amateur cameras like Nikon D3200, D40. In general, it is very pleasant to work with the camera. Settings and buttons are not very different from Nikon D7000. Dealing with the camera is not difficult.
Nikon D600 has a built-in focus motor, you can use any lens without a focus motor, for example, such inexpensive legendary lenses as Nikon 85mm F1.8D AF Nikkor и Nikon 70-210 F4 Nikkor.
From the pleasant moments in the Nikon D600:
- Measurement exposure performed using 2016 pixel like u D7000, D7100, D5200. About measurement exposure can read here.
- Function auto ISO works very well, the camera can automatically adjust the desired shutter speed depending on the installed lens.
- Two locks on the camera control wheel. This is very convenient, it really helps to avoid accidentally changing the shooting mode. I really missed such a thing on my old Nikon D90.
- Full HD video 1.920 x 1.080 30p, recorded in MOV format with the H.264 codec. Attention, sound recording is performed using a monaural microphone. You can buy an external stereo microphone for the camera. Video has a common problem with auto focus quality. Also, the Nikon D600 is not able to control the aperture value when shooting video. If full control over all the parameters when shooting movies is important, then you will have to look to the side Nikon D800.
- Support for older lenses AI-S type and any other lenses that can only be mounted on the camera.
- Two memory card slots SD (SDHC, SDXC, UHS-I). You can set up various methods of working with cards as your heart desires.
- System for cleaning the matrix from dust.
- Nikon D600 supports remote control of external flash units. I am a big fan of the system Nikon CLS
- Of course, the Nikon D600 supports high-speed 'FP' sync with external flash units. By the way, if you are looking for an extra flash, here my recommendations.
- A large 3.2-inch display, however, recently the number of dots in the new Nikon cameras has not changed and remains equal to 921,000. The display is the same as Nikon D800,D800E, D4.
- The case is half made of magnesium alloy, very similar to the case Nikon D7000.
- The camera has an additional monochrome display with which it is very convenient to control the camera and change the basic settings.
- USB, HDMI, Microphone in, 3.5mm headphone jack
- Battery EN-EL15, same as Nikon D7000, D7100, D800, D800E. Holds a charge well.
- Programmable buttons U1 and U2, which can be configured for different tasks.
- The camera supports automatic vignetting correction.
- Electronic level.
- Active D-lighting, bracketing exposure, ADL bracketing, bracketing white balance and HDR function
- Fine tune focus
What I did not like:
- The center button is not programmable for instant zoom. After Nikon D700 Without this feature, I’m extremely uncomfortable working with the Nikon D600. It seemed a trifle, but it seriously ruined my nerves.
- Not the entire body is made of an alloy of metals. The front part is made of polycarbonate.
- Minimum excerpt 1/4000 s shutter Many inflate with '1/4000s' great trouble. But it’s not so scary, for example, Nikon D600 can dose using ISO 50 (Lo 1) and 1/4000 seconds as much light as Nikon D3S at ISO 100 (Lo 1) and 1/8000 seconds. By the way D1H can work with shutter speed in 1 / 16.000 seconds:).
- When shooting video, you cannot control the aperture value. So far only Nikon D4, D800, D800E can afford full control when shooting video.
Personal experience
Nikon D600 is not so small and light as many people write about it. The camera is much larger than crumbs like D5100 or D3200. In general, the Nikon D600 is an excellent amateur camera, it is a pity that the Nikon D600 does not use 51 focus points as on older Nikon cameras, it is also a pity that not all of the camera body is made of metal alloy. But, of course, for that kind of money just cannot get a copy Nikon D4 in the housing from Nikon D7000 :). And Nikon added fuel to the fire, which covers a person’s head when choosing a camera. To new Nikon D7100 installed the updated module at 51 focus points, now many will puzzle over what to buy - Nikon D7100 or Nikon D600. I am often asked to indicate approximate prices for a particular photo equipment, Nikon D600 is still the cheapest Nikon full-format CZK:
By the way, I personally wonder what is better when working with poor lighting, the updated focus module on the Nikon D600 or the good old module on Nikon D700, D3, D3s, D300, D300s. Personally, I am more inclined to the latter. During the time that I had the D600, I did not feel any serious differences in focusing accuracy when working with high-aperture optics. You can leave your ideas in the comments.
A popular resource for comparing cameras snapsort gave the Nikon D600 the maximum number of points - 100 out of 100. Attention: they say that the Nikon D600 has serious problems with the contamination of the matrix (video problem review) Most likely for this reason, on October 8.10.2013, XNUMX, Nikon released a new camera. Nikon D610 to replace the D600, in order to remove the poor reputation of the latter due to problems with the contamination of the matrix.

Conclusions
Nikon D600 - very good amateur full frame cameraYou can easily get normal quality photos without external flash in poor light conditions. Perfect for advanced amateurs and professionals. And even for beginners in the camera it will be easier to understand. I recommend.
Material prepared Arkady Shapoval.
Good afternoon! Don’t tell me the following: it’s very itchy to buy a used Nikon d600, especially as the seller assures that there is no oil and dust on the shutter. Is it worth believing it? It’s thin, not all shutters have dirt to six hundred? service center equipment? Do I know if this fact?
I ask, since at the flea market the price difference reaches 10 000 hryvnias. For me it is very significant! Thanks for the future advice!
look at the purchase yourself how dirty the matrix is, for this it is not necessary to carry it to the service: https://radojuva.com.ua/2012/05/sensor-cleaning-about/
Thanks for the advice! That is, buying a d600 is worth it ... If technically everything is ok ...?
I can't say for sure whether to buy or not, look at the state of the matrix, mileage, no damage, price. If there is oil on the matrix, I would not take
Dear Nikon d600 Owners! Can you please tell me if it is possible to change the focusing screen on this model? According to information from the Internet, the manufacturer claims that the D600 camera is equipped with a BriteView Clear Matte Mark VIII type focusing screen with AF area boundaries, and the D600 camera design does not imply a replacement focusing screen. Is this true (met statements that are not true)? On my d7000, I easily changed focusing screens by releasing a metal bracket - a latch. Is this possible in the d600?

Deal with the update 1.03 problem
In general, with the new update, Nikon decided to shit not only the users of his cameras, but also the wonderful company Sigma!
With a firmware update in the camera, autofocus with Sigma lenses stops working. With the new glasses, even the button for selecting autofocus modes does not work at all.
With old glasses, the button works; the modes change, but autofocus still does not work!
I use only lenses from Sigma. Available 150 \ 2,8 85 \ 1,4 35 \ 1,4Art and 17-35 \ 2,8-4mm.
Autofocus on the new firmware does not work in any of them. Rolled back to version 1.02.
I had the same with Sigma 120-400 vr. Rolled back to 1.02 and everything was fine.
Please tell us how the firmware was rolled back. I want to update, but since I have Sigma 85 1.4, I am afraid that it will stop working.
I have the same story. with Sigma 120-400 vr. rolled back to 1.02, it worked.
A good camera for the money!
Good day and good mood to all!
The idiot's dream came true - I bought myself the first FF.
Just this camera, which is in the test. Bought used with mileage.
There is no money for lenses and I sold all the old ones.
Recommend inexpensive reliable glass for street shooting on vacation.
I like to walk around the cities in the dark and take off windows and just streets.
What 3 inexpensive used AF glasses do you recommend buying for leisurely walks?
Thanks in advance for all the advice!
Dear sbs, your introduction is not enough. Everyone has their own concept of “inexpensive”.
Also, it is not clear what focal length range you are interested in, what and how you are going to shoot? “Street photography” can mean anything.
I am a lover. Just family photos and street photos in a festive highlight.
There is no tripod. At least at the price of 150-200Euro for each used glass.
I have a D610. Night shoots come out very well. I recommend Nikon 50mm f / 1.4G. It is just suitable for nightly street landscapes and scenes. Much better than 50mm 1.8. To him a telezoom with VR, if there is enough money. Not enough, you can and old, without VR. These two should be enough for you for a long time.
Nikkor 50 1.8 D, about 2 pieces of second-hand hryvnia in good condition are sold, in full frame like a station wagon it’s just fine. It’s even hard to imagine what kind of aperture with autofocus is, what else is cheaper, except Youngnuo 50 1.8, but it is not much cheaper, it’s better to take your own Nikkor. Youngnuo is interesting in price to owners of cameras without a focus motor, since there the price is very different from the motor 50 1.8.
Don't Yagu - a lottery.
For starters, fix Nikon 50 / 1.8
Why exactly three? Maybe take one good or average station wagon. As practice has shown, in the evening in a relaxed state you don't want to change lenses. My recommendation in such cases is usually a Tamron 28-75 / 2.8 station wagon or anything more expensive with similar focal and aperture sets.
If all the same fixes - then 28 / 2.8, 50 / 1.8, 85 / 1.8
Great camera, worth 100% of the money. Arkady is absolutely right, versatile in terms of intended use - both for a beginner (easy to understand + a lot of information on working settings), and for an advanced photographer to improve his skills and as a pro as a second camera in addition to “heavy” artillery. I have been working with her for 2 years - no oil, the first cameras probably had a jamb, but Nikon corrected everything, it’s not enemies to lose the competition to Canon, so they are lagging behind in terms of sales. A good self-cleaning system - tested in the field and dusty conditions in the summer in the Rostov region. Advice - take a decent lens to it right away, even if not a native one (for example, Sigma 70-200 / 2,8 OS HSM) and rub the nose of the owners of the D800 in terms of picture quality one or two times) while spending much less money. And for everyday amateur tasks, even a whale 24-85 VR head is enough. Cheap lenses are money to nowhere (you can't sell them later) pampering for beginners who, not receiving high-quality pictures, can extinguish their desire and passion for photography and grow.
Once again, I emphasize the ratio of price-camera-quality-capabilities is probably the best in the world of photographic equipment. Read about it on http://www.kenrockwell.com
Which of the FF's would you recommend: D600 or D700?
D600
Thanks, and arguments :)? It's just that you have such laudatory reviews, you can say reviews on both of these cameras, which I don’t know. Yes, according to the table (above in the review), the D600 is better, but it seems like the D700 is a higher class, and one of the camera's purposes will be shooting skiing competitions.
The choice is always difficult, but, as I indicated in the reviews, the D600 is generally preferable to the D700.
Thanks! What about the arguments? :)
I'll add introductory notes. There are many pictures of children's alpine skiing competitions. There are no high-aperture optics yet. Nikon 70-300 AF 4-5.6 does not count, but I have to take pictures with it ...
The main argument is that the D700 is too old and has a clear problem with the mirror mechanism after 150.000 frames. D600 newer + video + 24mp + 2 memory cards.
Thanks. As for old age ... I still use D50. And only the fact that a bunch of "prosumerki" have appeared around which are calmly photographed in such light where the old man gives in, makes you think about an upgrade ... Damn society :) We have to correspond ...: (((
Well, even more so, then the D600. And the form factor is closer to the hobbyist, and the working ISO is higher. True, I don’t feel such a strong lack of ISO on crop (I agree about the D50 - not enough, but with the D90 it’s quite enough). The tendency is simply surprising: does not suit ISO, full frame at once and in prof. format.
No, I'm not chasing a professional format, but you must admit that FFs are less noisy. And there are more light and inexpensive optics on FF. And on the crop, it turns out not quite to the point, for example, the same fifty dollars ...
In optics, I have this opinion: fifty dollars, if it seems to you out of place on the crop, take 35 mm (autofocus DX 1,8 is inexpensive, there is even cheaper YN35). But where the FF needs an expensive aperture 85 mm, then just a fifty dollars can do (1.8D 1.8G, 1.4D, YN50 and many others). Zooms are also cheaper (both normal, and wide, and televisions), with F2,8 zooms from the sides. lift manufacturers. Noise must also be approached correctly. FF is better, but the price. In modern crop with noise, not everything is bad, especially when converting from ravs. Note that for example, the D750 uses a fresh noise reduction algorithm in the camera, and the D3400 is old. But when developing RAW, the D3400 user can also choose a fresh algorithm, and the difference in noise will no longer be so striking in favor of the D750. In short, FF is better, but more expensive. Is it so much better for you that you can spend several times more, you decide.
Let's, Arkady, see the examples of images given. In a nutshell, these are dull blue-violet photos (piano, King Kong, ice rink, operator). It is clear that they were made in difficult conditions, but it seems that Nikon still has problems with BB and colors.
Briefly about my cameras, D90, D3200. After the D90, the D3200 seemed like a breakthrough. Better work of the BB, with an increase in megapixel on the D3200, there was much less noise, and in difficult conditions, you can reduce the megapixel, while the noise will also decrease. With all the "nice" controls on the D90, the D3200 seemed to me to get significantly better results. Looking at the pictures on the D600 it seems that the picture on the D3200 (!) Is not worse (probably one generation of matrices).
Recently, her daughter broke the D90 (asks for a D3200). Now I am faced with the choice of what to buy for myself. I had experience with 6D and D5200. The first one will notice significantly better colors (conditionally) and all the charms of the FF, the second also turned out to be better than the D3200 in colors and ISO (probably due to 14-bit). Among the disadvantages of 6D was the worst DD compared to the D3200 (with a wild difference in price).
For all that, I like your examples of photos on the D90 and earlier cameras. I realize that you own cameras better than me and respect your opinion very much. Therefore, as a more experienced person, I wanted to ask what is better from the series D700, D600 (610), D800 (810), D7100 (7200)? I am considering the purchase of a BU unit. Just judging by the examples, it seems to me that the D700, D800, D7100 give a better result than, asking for the price-quality of the D600 in terms of parameters. I saw a photo with the D800. It seemed better than all of the above, but it may turn out that his master has very straight arms.
Good afternoon.
Everything is extremely simple. From best to worst, Nikon D810 -> D800E -> D800 -> D610 -> D600 -> D700. In general, the D7200, D7100 will even lose the D700 (the noise is less, the traction is much better, but dd and color depth are worse).
Here, in a review, photos from the d600 were taken all in a hurried manner (the camera was given for a short time). And on d70 you can get a good result, the only question is whether it is rational.
I looked at the link, now I want d70 and fifty dollars. Color drop, is it with processing?
Yes, there is a bit of processing. I can reset the archive with the sources, or find it in the overview Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm 1: 1.8, MKII version, NJ (NIKON JAPAN)
Arkady, thank you so much for your work! Ohhh very useful and necessary!
If you have ready-made shots - could you put somewhere, for comparison, portraits of one person, shot with Nikon D90 and D600 or D610?
I smashed my D90 and I'm trying to figure out whether to buy a D610 ... I shoot more portraits, sometimes landscapes.
Thank you!
Yes, definitely switching to something better is worth it. You will simply find your approach to color and to working with it.
At the D3200 itself, it also considered switching to 7200 or 600-610. The 7100, with its 6-frame buffer, shoaled, because sometimes I take portraits and children, and often with a manual lens. I make large series of shots for the subsequent selection of emotions and sharp frames. With 7100 I can’t do it anymore.
Sergey:
Sergey, if you’re used to the D3200, then take one of these: D5300-5500 or D7100-7200.
700 has already become obsolete and most likely will disappoint you after the D3200. All the same, the modern crop from Nikon on the matrices went well ahead of the D90. And DD at Nikon Krops You already noticed that 3200 has a more interesting picture.
On the D800 / D800E you have to fight with the withdrawal of BB in the greens and shake. Plus go broke on decent optics. The issue of optics will also concern the D810.
If you need FF and are ready to buy optics, then better look at the D610 or D750, they will be more optimal and they will have less noise at high ISOs than the entire 800 series.
The d3200 is much more demanding on optics than the d800 / 810.
The 700tka, even in comparison with the 7200, is good in that you can pull “this very dd and color” from it as much as you like. But, of course, from the box, the d3200 is much more colorful than the d700.
Arkady, you can pull an owl on a globe: ~)
But the meaning? New matrices have excellent DD. It makes no sense to take a 700-ku, when you can add and take D610, if possible. 700ka is still at high ISO - above 2500 is already problematic, and at low ISO, up to 800, 700 it is very difficult to fight with the same D5300-5500 / D7100-7200. An interesting dilemma. But the whole question is decided by time - the 700 has not been released for a long time. And it, like D3, is increasingly difficult to find in a tidy condition at a flea market.
As I wrote above - d610 is preferable to d700, what are we talking about?
If it concerns the struggle of the D700 with the d5300, d5500, d7100, d7200, then this has its own philosophy and many nuances. For example, for work, I would not have thought a bit, but took a used item. d700 with low mileage (up to 50.000). Yesterday, for example, I shot in the studio (greenhouse conditions) on d5300, and I know what I'm writing about. In general, the narrower dd of seven hundred is more than blocked by other advantages of both image and control and other things.
But again, I am not upholding the d700. I completely agree that it is obsolete and is the weakest full-length camera among the entire Nikon line. I realize and understand that modern crop is very, very good. And after all, I’m unlikely to switch to the d700 again.
Pomatrosil and threw (((
An objective assessment of colors and shades requires an expensive and well-tuned monitor. Otherwise, criticism of the work of other photographers may look out of place, to say the least.
In addition, in these examples, any crop, even the newest, will not be able to give out any decent pictures at all. Yes, and about an impeccable BB in the ordinary artificial lighting, speech can’t go. Even if you shoot on the flagship device.
Something like that.
now in 2k18 I would complain about “problems with bb and color”, given that the slightest inaccuracies of this nature can be eliminated in three seconds during the primary processing of the Raw image. besides, all devices are different - someone may think from his screen that the pictures are blue, someone yellow, someone purple ...
Dear Arkady and readers.
I think 600 and 610 have the same control.
I have one question.
On the D90, it was possible to set that when turning the lever ON to the end, both the upper display and the main display light up.
In 610, I can’t find how to enable this function and whether it is here. That would not click info separately.
Thank you in advance.
Hello! I look at the photos from the D600, well, they do not cause delight, as with the D700! Well, not those colors! photo from D700, not knowing what was shot, It seems from CCD matrix, like d40, d3000. Began to find out what kind of matrix in the D700? she is really different from others, her own - Nikonovskaya.
By and large, I can shoot on any camera so that it will be good and it will be impossible to distinguish it from any other. The only question is time and desire. Think about it.
Everything is fine with the D600. Just specifically in this article, a small selection of photos in not the most simple conditions. See other reviews of this camera if in doubt. And by the way, the standard tone and color settings of the D700 are very different from older CCD cameras. And this, as Arkady rightly noted, for the D700 and many other cameras, does not matter to get an excellent result.
"... it will be good and it will be impossible to distinguish her from any other." - Here one excludes the other, either “it will be good” or “it will be impossible to tell”.
I thought the same thing - there is such a photoshop that you won't guess what was filmed)
Why so?
Good day )
There is a question of buying Nikon 610 or 7500?
Which one would be preferable? After all, the 610th of 2013 and the 7500th of the 17th?
At the moment I use D60)))
In general, if you do not take into account the possibility of video shooting, I recommend the d610 because of the full frame.
Yes, here I’m not making a video at all)
Nothing, get involved ...
Enough to start.
You can also finish :)
Arkady, hello.
And you can find out about the quality of the shutter and its reliability on the Nikon D610.
Thank you in advance.
The shutter, as usual for all D610 class cameras, may or may not last a long time.
Good afternoon.
Please advise what to do. I got my hands on a Canon 5D Mark II, and I got a Nikon D3300, I used the Mark II, and somehow I didn't like it very much. As for the detailing of the frames, I expected more (without comparison with the D3300, I mean in general), ergonomics are not happy, b / w misses, focus misses on different lenses, etc.
And such a question arose. Tell me, does it make sense to sell the Mark II, and buy a new D610? How do you think? Or will it come to that? Lens is not burdened, so it does not hold anything.
Thank you.
The old 5DMk2 fell sharply in price this year. And this camera is not even loved by Canonists for its oblique AF module and color.
They get rid of these cameras and usually run over to 6d, in which both the color of the norms and the AF module are better, or 3/4 nickel. 4 nickels from very eh irrigated both in color and in AF. But dear.
D610 will obviously be better. Or drive directly to the D750. The difference is small in money.
The D750 is very good, but the difference is UAH 11. 000 - D26 versus 000 - D610.
Hmm, can you really sell the Mark II, and buy the D610?
Hello, tell me whether or not to change Sigma 70-300mm 1: 4-5.6 APO DG to Nikon ED AF-S Nikkor 70-300mm 1: 4.5-5.6G VR IF SWM to a D610 camera
I bought a used d600, mainly for landscape photography, with good width and little processing, decent pictures are obtained. Before him there was d90 - a cool fotik for his penny, color rendering and drawing at a high level.
Thanks for the GREAT review!
super details. intends to look for a carcass, maybe second-hand ..
There was a 7100 camera and a range of different lenses - a great camera. Occasionally I bought the D600 and the 24-120 / 4 lens. Can you compare them? You can compare, but this is a Mercedes and a Zaporozhets. Matrix 2,25 times more played a decisive role. What could hardly be stretched 7100 to 600 is obtained without tension. I advise everyone to go full frame. They trumpeted that oil on the matrix! Do not notice.
Please tell me, I'm tormented with the choice .. I'm an amateur, I have a Nikon D5100 camera, lenses 50 / 1,8 and 18-200, mostly photos of animals in motion, at exhibitions with poor lighting. My camera has already exhausted its resource, I have long dreamed of a full frame, but there are no such amounts yet .. I don’t even know what to choose :( It attracts the D600 -610 at a lower price from full-frame (although of course it’s still expensive for me ..). But I can’t decide which one to take .. Help please ..
Tell me, how much CD card does the d600 normally eat?
Good evening
Going to buy used Nikon D600 / 610. I read reviews and reviews, and the fact that the lamellae breakdown in the shutter mechanism and their absence as spare parts is often mentioned is disturbing, as a result of which it is possible to restore functionality only by completely replacing the shutter, which is not cheap. I would like to hear the reviews of the owners, if they are here
And there is also a diaphragm drummer and a bunch of things that are missing as separate parts and change complete with the shutter. This is the case with all modern things, it's time to get used to it. It would be better to indicate at which mileage the indicated defect is observed, otherwise the mechanics may have worked out their resource.
PS: Lamels - read this and there is a shutter. They form the shutter curtains
A lot of used d600s have a mileage of 80 - 100 K and more, of course, there were no shutter breakages (it would have reset to zero), and I never met such a problem at the Nikon club, but the matrix “splashing” - yes, it does occur, the company corrects shoals, changes the shutter, as a rule.
I am aware of the oil on the matrix, but thanks anyway. Could you give some examples of how photos taken by a camera in which the matrix is in oil look like?
I will tell you my experience of owning and using the Nikon D600. 1st run 13k neither oil nor any problems with the shutter or camera. 2nd run is currently 85k. After buying and a run of 3 thousand in the upper left corner, oil climbed. Since the SERVICE is far away, I did not get involved, but simply cleaned the FF matrix cleaning kit. I read on the forums that this problem manifests itself up to 3 thousand. And so it happened. Currently, the flight is normal. 3rd with a mileage of 1300 frames. There is no oil, but the entire upper left corner is in the dust and there is more of it. This is the problem of technological marriage. While it does not interfere with open.
There is a sale with mileage of 27 k. The flight is normal. There were no problems. It is worth noting that this model has a lifetime warranty on the lock. This is indicated on the Nikon website. But there are no thoughts. It’s interesting, I’ll answer! Forgive me, I won’t put a space! (((
Can I contact you in viberan or some other way to discuss the camera?
Yes. Write to davidoff72 (dog) mail.ru Thank you.
In the reviews, they write that if it breaks, then it breaks within 40-80k positives. If the camera has passed this line, then it breaks further far beyond 200k. The owners have a theory that the breakdown is somehow related to the frequent use of burst shooting. As for the slats - I was looking for shops that sell spare parts, there are separate slats for almost all Nikon models except the D600 / 610
Briefly about my experience with Nikon d600: how everyone who has a “crop” (I have Nikon d7000), at least once, but thought about a full-frame camera. At the time of the acquisition of Nikon d600, I had clear requirements why I want a full frame, namely: 1. Low noise at high iso; 2. More dynamic range than the "crop" cameras; 3. The best picture quality, because there’s nothing to say, but under the same shooting conditions and camera settings, “crop” and “FF” will give a different picture in terms of detail, depth of field, etc .; 4. The ability to use old but solid and relatively cheap, such as the “Nikon” 50mm 1.8 and 85mm 1.8 “d” series, glass (since the “crop” “full-format” glass is something else).
So as not to repeat what was written in the article, I will say that the Nikon d600 justified my requirements above. By the way, Nikon d7000 left itself as an additional camera, it proved to be very good at work). After the "crop" there is something to "amuse" the eye)
Oh yeah, NO OIL SPOTS on the matrix were found, mileage 35 yew. After the purchase, I clicked on about 500 frames, everything is clean)
Special thanks for the choice of my cameras and glasses to them, I want to express to Arkady, since his consultations allow you to clearly and accurately choose for yourself photographic equipment in accordance with your requirements!
When did you buy and for how much, if not secret?
good afternoon
Thank you for the excursion and your work in the field of photography.
According to your recommendation (and I consider your articles to be exactly those) I acquired nikkor 35-70 2.8MKI
Everything is as in the article, but the focus is on the long end. In general, Ignores landscapes at shutter speed 1 \ 100 1 \ 80 soap. In general, the glass behaves strangely, the portrait removes the network well, a small shortage of focus, but I think it is excusable for the old man.
But I have a choice before the Nikon 600 or 610, are they essentially the same cameras? Did I understand everything correctly?
