filmed a couple of months at 18-70. no stub is needed. the picture is sharp. focus is fast. one problem is a spontaneously climbing trunk. so a week ago I exchanged it for a new 16-85 with a surcharge. I will say this: 16-85 produces awesome sharpness pictures. better than 18-140 as it seems to me. nothing backlash. the trunk climbs out, but not so quickly and only when jerking. I never turn on the stub. I think it's bullshit. the best stub is a tripod.
