This remote control allows you to control cameras Nikon D100 (only with MB-D100 buttlock), D200, D300s, D300, D700, D800, D800E, D1, D1h, D1x, D2x, D2xs, D2h, D2hs, D3, D3x, D3s, D4 and some film cameras. These cameras have a special 10 pin outputinto which the remote control is screwed, as shown in the photo below. It is very interesting that it is easiest to separate Nikon professional cameras from non-professional ones by the presence of this very 10-pin contact.
Mounting the MC-30 Remote on a Nikon D700 Camera
MC-30 Hongdak Remote Switch is an analogue of the native Nikon MC-30. He has one button, pressing halfway focuses the camera, and pressing the button fully focuses the camera. Everything happens exactly the same as with the usual shutter button on the camera itself. The remote control button can be locked in a permanently pressed position, which is useful when shooting in BULB mode or continuous burst shooting. The remote control is fixed to the camera with a special metal nut, so it will be impossible to accidentally disconnect or lose the remote control. The length of the remote control is 80 cm.
If you set the function of the shutter button to 'Movie', you can also control video recording with the remote control. There is also a simple and inexpensive infrared remote control for Nikon amateur cameras. ML-L3.
Conclusions:
MC-30 Hongdak Remote Switch is a pretty simple remote control for professional Nikon cameras, does not require batteries, and is very cheap. The remote is very useful for avoiding camera shake when shooting with slow shutter speeds.
