Focusing

The lens has a fast auto focus. There is a lens focus mode switch 'M-A', the switch has its own interlock, which helps against accidental switching of the desired mode. Instant manual focus override is not available in 'A' mode. During autofocus, the focus ring is locked and doesn't spin... In manual focus mode 'M', the focus ring rotates approximately 90 degrees. Manual focusing is very convenient. The lens has focus distance scale и depth of field scale for F / 11 and F / 16, as well as a tag for working in the infrared spectrum.

The minimum focusing distance is 85 cm, and the maximum magnification ratio for macro photography is 1: 8.8. Nikon AF Nikkor 85mm 1: 1.4D uses technology CRC (Close Range Correction) - a focusing system with correction at close focusing distances (i.e. a floating focusing system). CRC allows you to get good image quality at any focusing distance.

Lens focus internalconstructed by the method Rear focusing system (RFS) - Rear focusing system. Usually, the abbreviation 'IF'-'Iinternal Focus' - 'Inner Focus'.

The lens uses 'professional' 77mm filters. Difficulties with different light filters should not arise. The lens comes with an excellent metal lens hood NH-31. The lens hood is simply amazing, its only drawback is that it is screwed into the front thread, or filter. When the lens hood is attached, the lens may close with a lens cap, as with the lens hood removed. The hood is not installed back-to-front (transport mode).

Nikon AF Nikkor 85mm 1: 1.4D

Nikon AF Nikkor 85mm 1: 1.4D features to work with various Nikon cameras

1. Auto focus with Nikon AF NIKKOR 85mm 1: 1.4D lens is available only when using him on cameras with built-in motor focusing. An exact and complete list of Nikon CZKs that support auto focus with 'AF' lenses (such as this one) can be found in the 'Auto focus on Nikon cameras'.

2. The lens has a manual aperture ring. To be able to control the value aperture from camera or for automatic installation aperture on modern central control valves, you need to turn the control ring to F / 16 and fix it with a special lever, which is located to the right of the marks aperture. If this is not done, then on a number of cameras, the display will display an error - 'fEE' (ring is not installed aperture) Some cameras having diaphragm rheostatallow you to control the aperture using the ring aperturebut only in metering modes exposure 'M' and 'A'. You can read more about this issue in the section on Non-G Lenses. Ring aperture rotates with clicks, the values F / 1.4, 2, 2.8, 4, 5.6, 8, 11, 16 are plotted on it. It is impossible to establish an intermediate value between pairs of numbers using the aperture ring. Intermediate values can only be set using the camera menu.

Aperture

Lens aperture mechanism Nikon 85mm f1.4D AF consists of 9 petals, the petals are rounded, which allows you to achieve even circles in the area of confusion. Due to the rounded aperture blades, achieve 'star effect'is possible only at very closed apertures, approximately at f / 11.

Image quality

The lens does not have HA in the field of sharpness already with F / 2.0, very few lenses boast such a property. There are lungs on f / 1.4 HA in the zone of sharpness. Do not confuse aberration in the zone of sharpness with friging.

Lens uses signature enlightenment Nikon SIC (Super Iintegrated Coating) and very naturally conveys color without adding cold or warm tones, including very good skin tone (skin tone). Particularly noteworthy is the bokeh - Nikon AF NIKKOR 85mm 1: 1.4D boasts very nice 'creamy bokeh'. Also, Nikon AF 85 / 1.4D has good contrast, there is no distortion. The lens can catch glare in backlight, closing the aperture does not eliminate glare. The lens is sharp at all apertures, at f / 1.4 you can shoot without problems, sharpness degrades slightly from f / 1.4-f / 2.0 due to aberrations and from about f / 5.6-f / 16 due to diffraction.

Personal experience using Nikon AF Nikkor 85mm 1: 1.4D

It's funny that the Nikon AF Nikkor 85mm 1: 1.4D has faster auto focus than Nikon 85mm 1: 1.4GN AF-S Nikkor. It is very strange that the new motor versions of the lenses focus more slowly than their non-motor predecessors. Nikon 85mm 1: 1.8G AF-S IF SWM Nikkor also focuses much slower than Nikon AF Nikkor 85mm 1: 1.4D.

F / 1.4D lens focusing speed compared to Nikon 85mm 1: 1.8D AF Nikkor, exactly the same. I conducted an experiment, put two cameras side by side, on the first F / 1.4D, on the second F / 1.8D, when you press the focus button, both lenses focus equally quickly from MDF to infinity and vice versa. Most likely, all three F / 1.8 AF, F / 1.8D, F / 1.4D lenses have the same focusing speed, which may slightly differ from the camera on which the lens is used.

In general, Nikon AF NIKKOR 85mm 1: 1.4D lens I really liked it, even more than nanocrystalline F / 1.4g - both in drawing and in work. Treat this with understanding, 'like / dislike' is a purely subjective conclusion, that's why this section is called 'personal experience'. True, over time on the Nikon AF Nikkor 85mm 1: 1.4D the rubber band on the focusing ring swells and slips off - but this is a trifle, in general the lens is very well made and has no other complaints about the mechanical part.

In general, I can say with confidence that this Nikon AF Nikkor 85mm 1: 1.4D has the best build of any other 85-current AF from Nikon. I met a similar super-assembly even at the legendary manual monster - Nikon Nikkor 85mm 1: 1.4 AI-S.

  • Alexander

I am thinking of buying this lens, but I don’t know how it will be in conjunction with Nikon D610, before that I had experience with 85mm 1.8D, but I didn’t really like it. I posed as a loose chtoli as soon as you lift up the ISO. Please tell me if it is worth taking it now in modern realities?

  • Igor

Well, that's the idiot's dream come true
The only glass, at the mention of which I lost my appetite))))))
So now the agony of choosing 85 is over. And I tried all autofocus

    • Victor

I also look at q, how is it compared to the 85 1.8g? At comparable apertures. The price is now little different.

      • Igor

I've tried all 85s AF including Sigma
This one is completely different in the picture. Just different.
It is not profitable for commerce, it is easier and cheaper to buy 1,8
        some examples on the link
        https://photos.app.goo.gl/kLLK3SmVUcbsRY35A

        • Andrei

Igor, thank you very much for the good examples!

  • Sergei

Can you please tell me if it will resolve the nikon D810A matrix? Or it is better to look towards 1.4 G (including 105 1.4).

    • Michael

It depends on what the resolution means) D versions and 24 MP do not pull, if you look in detail

      • Victor

If you look in detail, her and the G versions do not pull.
Even the ultra-sharp distagon does not provide full matrix resolution.
In general, I wonder where this “allow-not-allow” comes from :) It will allow you to get excellent cards even for large-format printing. For those who count pixels, and do not take photographs, perhaps ((

        • Michael

From there, that some do need permission, and some do not. Everything depends on the tasks

          • Victor

Who really needs permission will not be looking at Nikon F.

            • Michael

              nu-nu

            • Pokemon

D850 in conjunction with Sigma Art 24-70 / 2.8 or Tokina 24-70 / 2.8 quietly felt sad in the corner.

              • Victor

Pokemon, didn't you drown here for the “affordable” medium format gfx 50 and gfx 100? Now, the very moment has come when it will be appropriate.

I laughed about sigma and tokina, I think, reportage light threefold zooms are definitely NOT about maximum detail, although you have a unique opinion on this matter :-)

              • Pokemon

“I laughed about sigma and tokina, I think, reportage light threefold zooms are definitely NOT about maximum detail, although you have a unique opinion on this matter :-)”
                Victor, and you laugh further.
Arkady wrote here about Tokina and, in general, a lot of good things about her optical capabilities. I saw the capabilities of Sigma on 6D and yes, it's impressive.
I understand that on the d850 you can get by with the fixes of the Art series, but this is not so universal and operative and not everyone needs it.

              • Pokemon

I highly recommend looking at the reviews and photos with these lenses.
                *
If you need per-pixel detailing, you can inexpensively buy a Sigma SD Q or SD QH complete with Art series lenses (before buying, you will have to keep in mind the need for a proprietary battery grip and a bucket of batteries, because all Foveons are gluttonous)

              • Victor

                "Victor, and you laugh further"

No, Dmitry, if the sigma detail is at a level worse than even a penny 50stm, it is highly doubtful that it was used for serious things where detail is IMPORTANT.

Therefore, I will just laugh, with your permission. The sigma capabilities can only be impressive at the level of similar zooms.

              • Victor

“If anyone wants per-pixel detail” “quattro h”

I hope you were joking, because it is “inexpensive” at the level of or more expensive than d810, 5dsr, while merging them in detail, and even comparing with gfx100 is inappropriate.

              • Pokemon

SD Q and SD QH are removed from the pr-va and it is possible for 2 years how to buy a used or close to new condition for very, very humane money (like all other Sigmas).
New these cameras can be found on ebay
You have brought a cropped image without specifying either the lenses that were used in this testing, or the source, or the settings for shooting.
Then, in the above screenshot, I see a suspicious High Res setting - this is interpolation from 25,5MP to 51MP, right?
There really are no problems with fixes there in terms of detail - I speak as the owner of SD1. At the native resolution for the camera, not marketing.

              • Pokemon

"Sigma detail is at a level worse than even a penny 50stm, it is highly doubtful to be used for serious things where detail is IMPORTANT."
Can you prove your words with full-size Tiffs / jpg (uncompressed) with 5DSr or at least 4th Pyatak?
Comparison of Tokina 24-70 / 2.8, Sigma Art 24-70 / 2.8, 50 / 1.8 at one focal point, at one aperture, without any adjustments and at the same distance to the subject?

              • Victor

Interpolation, marketing, of course. The native resolution is also not amazing, this is not the same 1MP DPXNUMX, which was pixel-by-pixel sharp. Samples full-size with quattro and fixes I saw, if that.

In addition, foveon has several specific features related to both color rendition and high sensitivity settings. The thing is in itself, which is why it is so “popular”.

"2 years how to buy a used or close to new condition for very, very humane money (like all other Sigmas)"
Yeah, and like all other sigma, most likely not in Russia. AVITO sells ONE (one, Karl !!) SD quattro H with 24-105 used for 145 tr. Doubtful applicability of banknotes.

Well, techno-fetish collectors will certainly do it)))

              • Victor

                "You can prove your words"

I will forward your question to the DXO lab, they have tested all this for a long time, but they certainly will not deny themselves the pleasure of proving something to someone who just does not have enough results in the tables :)

              • Victor

“I highly recommend looking at the reviews and photos of these lenses.”

                I looked.

This (by the way, covered, right up to the DLA itself), is this considered an example of decent detail? I especially recommend looking at the corners.

Do you think THIS can be compared with fixes?

              • Pokemon

“This (by the way, covered, right up to the DLA itself), is this considered an example of worthy detail? "
This is a link to a walking erotic journey with a photo of some barn.
If you throw a disgrace, then throw a brick wall already.
The f / 10 aperture for the 5DsR is of course dubious, as is the photo itself.
I saw something else with my own eyes, albeit not on 5DsR. This is possibly the worst photo I've ever seen with this lens. Perhaps the lens needs alignment - I don't know.
I have not seen such angles on this lens on the same 6D. On the contrary, everything was fine there.

"Victor, then what the hell was that statement"

If this annoys you (why would it?), No problem, do the interpolation manually from 24 to 36 (at least) megapixels, or reduce the competitors' megapixels to 24. Although you don't have to, the result will be more than predictable.

“We have a small audience of owners of these cameras”

                This is not surprising.

"Lenses for this mount are often sold cheaper than comparable Sigma mounts under Canon mount"

This is all the more unsurprising.

"The example that you indicated is an explicit overpricing"

Okay, looked at ebay, there should definitely be a normal price list and assortment - there are already four cameras (yes, four, pieces, all over the fuck, well, like popularity has already been discussed, the topic is beaten, we will not), and prices revolve around the same 810 / 5ds. Ftopku.

You can certainly explain why YOU need such a camera, if not for collecting, and in what way is it better than the above?

"" You can prove your words "

I will forward your question to the DXO lab, they have tested it all for a long time, but they certainly will not deny themselves the pleasure of proving something to someone who simply does not have enough results in the tables :) ”
If you throw links to DXO, inquire where the old Canon 28-70 / 2.8L is.

              • Victor

“The f / 10 aperture for the 5DsR is of course dubious, as is the photo itself.”

And what confuses? In the center, there is sharpness. In the corners, no. At f / 5.6 it will be even worse.

Than the photo is doubtful? Do you have other demonstrative ones, better? Give links :)

              • Victor

"If you throw links to DXO, inquire where the old Canon 28-70 / 2.8L is."

Well deserved. Or will you dispute this too?

"If it annoys you (why would?)"
Since this is an attempt at deception.
Compare interpolation and native resolution without citing the source.
None of the adequate owners of these cameras filmed in interpolated resolution - I didn't even try, because I didn't need it and because I knew it was an upscale. Good or bad doesn't matter.
"Although you don't have to, the result will be more than predictable."
It makes no sense for me to do this, trying to pull an owl on a globe - it's ridiculous.
In the native resolution of Foveons, everything is fine at iso100 and on adequate lenses. Better than any buyer or CCD Fujah I have.
                And I don't need another.
"Okay, looked at ebay, there should definitely be a normal price list"
This is either an erroneous statement or you are again trying to mislead me. Ebay, like Avito, is a jungle. On Ebei, photographic equipment can cost more than ours. It is enough to compare the prices for the same Protroyki, Propyatka, Units, etc. Often everything is more expensive, but more often there is and there is plenty to choose from. It happens with us that a camera or glass on Avito can be bought cheaper than an ebay and vice versa. If you want a well-groomed Nikon F5 or Canon 1V, or 1N HS / RS, then there are mountains of offers on ebee and much cheaper than on Avito.
“You can certainly explain why YOU need such a camera, if not for collecting, and in what way is it better than the above?”
I am not comparing sour and soft. Buying d810, I know approximately what I will get at the exit. Buying 5DsR is about the same. Both are boring and unnecessary yet. I considered the purchase of SD QH several times, but each time I stopped it because I already have an SD1 and the situation itself with maintenance and the search for the same batteries or battery pen and of course lenses. Well, the fact that above 200ISO problems begin. I don’t want to sell the SD1, this is an interesting camera for walking in good weather and for all kinds of experiments.
The fact that the system was not widely used in the Russian Federation is not my problem, and not the problem of Sigma, for which the release of cameras is a hobby.

              • Pokemon

“What's confusing? There is sharpness in the center. "
At 5DsR, everything should ring. It's not there. I saw with my own eyes another picture from this glass.
“Well deserved. Or will you dispute this too?
Are we talking about detailing or what are we talking about in general? "
                Victor.
I am the owner of this lens. How can I tell you ...
I specifically drew your attention to the place of 28-70 / 2.8L in DXO, so that you think about it. About the rottenness of this rating. Optically, the lens does not catch stars from the sky in 2021, and 10 years ago either.

              • Victor

"Since this is an attempt at deception."

Hello. Have arrived. Who is cheating? Someone who is not able to find dpreview stuido scene on their own? There are raves there. As I write, change the resolution up or down as much as you like, only the overall picture will not change.

“This is either an erroneous statement or you are trying to mislead me again”

In the context of a conversation, this is not a statement but an assumption. Or are you talking about only four cameras in the whole fuck? Well, this is also true.

"On Ebeya, photographic equipment can cost more than ours"

Of course, it might be worth it. The dollar exchange rate and purchasing power explains everything. So what? Well, I looked "to us", on Avito, did I win something? In general, these cameras are not there now, with the exception of one, according to your own words, with an inadequate price list.

“I don’t want to sell the SD1, it’s an interesting camera for walking in fine weather and for all sorts of experiments.”

The fact that a collector is not interested in selling cameras is understandable and forgivable, otherwise, why is it interesting? Detailing at the level of bayer-like 24-megapixel crops, the colors are traditionally dumb, maybe there are some nuances that are difficult to see from the outside?

              • Victor

"I saw with my own eyes another picture from this glass."

Okay, I have not seen where to look?

And here you are extremely illogical.

First, you write “About the rottenness of this rating” and after that “optically the lens does not catch stars”, well, after all, the rating just speaks about the optical quality of the lenses, what are your complaints about it?

It seemed to me that we are talking about the same thing, about a system that allows you to get the maximum detail, but for some reason you start to lead to “happiness is not in detail”, why is that? :)

              • Pokemon

“Hello. Have arrived. Who is cheating? "
                Me, Victor, me.
Victor, it is ugly to slip this in the hope that the interlocutor will not notice.
I understand the purpose for which such a picture was fasting, but in decent places they rule for such a ban or a physiognomy.
“Someone who cannot find dpreview stuido scene on their own? "
I am not interested in such sites. And your own experience is interesting.
That is why, by the way, I decided to buy several Canon cameras and lenses for them. And I didn’t even think about it before. I am an inquisitive person, but I am not interested in someone else's experience. You can discuss the taste of 10-12 year old cognac for a long time, but it is better to try it yourself, and not read or listen to stories about it.
“Otherwise, why is she interesting? The detail is at the level of the buyer-like 24MP crop, the colors are traditionally awkward, maybe there are some nuances that are difficult to see from the outside? "
It is interesting in detailing at the native resolution, from Foveons you can get different shades from buyers. Buying Nikon / Canon you know roughly what you will get on the way out. Buying Fuji - often you get better than what you expected when shooting. Buying Sigma - the result is often unpredictable. The focus may be wrong, say, or there may be a blur, or the DD was not enough. This is an unpredictable result, which can be visually pleasing or more detailed than a photo with a D7200 or 80D.
This is not a rational purchase. Rational people will buy rational cameras that give a relatively stable result in any light and weather.
Once again, I was interested to try it and I bought it. What I do not regret.

              • Victor

                “Me, Victor, me.
Victor, it is ugly to slip this in the hope that the interlocutor will not notice "

Sorry, but it seems to me that if you see some kind of deception in this, you have something banal that looks like paranoia.

“Buying Sigma - the result is often unpredictable. The focus may be wrong, say, or there may be a blur, or the DD was not enough ”

Or the color turned out to be unnatural and dumb. I realized all this is for the sake of sports interest. No, it will not work for pragmatists.

The rating is not correct in my opinion. Lenses are hard to measure with numbers.
This is a crazy DXO idea and nobody remembers their lens section except them.
And yes, in my opinion, the 28-70 / 2.8L does not deserve the place it occupies there. And this is not only my opinion. The lens is optically not perfect and in terms of the picture it is worse than many Sigma or Tokin of the early-mid XNUMXs. Perhaps I got not the best copy and if I change it. But according to reviews and photos of other people, it is worse than many lenses of this class.

              • Victor

“The rating is not correct in my opinion. Lenses are hard to measure with numbers ”

This is just your opinion, of course, erroneous, but it certainly has the right to exist.
In numbers, the main characteristics of lenses are just measurable very well.

“And yes, in my opinion, the 28-70 / 2.8L doesn't deserve the place it occupies there. And this is not only my opinion ”

Of course, other people can also be mistaken, they are people too :-)

"This is just your opinion, of course, erroneous, but it certainly has the right to exist."
Of course no. Not wrong. But this is my opinion from my practice and any theorists are not interesting to me, as well as those who want to measure the lens in parrots.
                *
"Sorry, but it seems to me that if you see some kind of deception in this, you have something corny like paranoia."
There is no paranoia. You are an adult and you knew what you were doing by throwing in such a stuffing.
“Or the color was unnatural and awkward. I realized all this is for the sake of sports interest. No, it won't work for pragmatists. "
Well ... "Who is the mare's bride ..."
                I have a practical camera - D4.

              • Victor

“Through long experience and practical research, I came to the conclusion that 2x2 = 5. But this is my opinion, of course, it is not erroneous, and any theorists are not interesting to me ”Hmm.

You know, Pokemon, in one thing you are probably right - it seems that in a dispute with you, the truth cannot be born by definition. I still hope for the remainder of prudence and propose to re-read the beginning of the discussion, how it began, and why exactly "medium-format" fuji were given as an example, and also carefully consider the test picture again. Think, take your time, dear "practitioner", and it's never too late to justify your nickname.

              • Pokemon

There is an expression that truth is born in a dispute.
But there are disputes where it is good if everyone remains unconvinced.
The downside of any dispute is lost time, which, unfortunately, cannot be replenished.

I first discovered this site about a year and a half ago, and now, at the first question on the topic, I climb here first, thanks to the author!)) There was an opinion, here you read everything interesting here and it begins))) I have been bargaining with one seller for three months Nikon's 24 -70, 2,8)) Having stumbled upon this article yesterday, I climbed on Avito, and accidentally saw an advertisement for the sale of d3200 with or without mileage))) (850 frames), it became interesting because I sell the same myself, the seller put it up yesterday a set for 23x with two lenses, one of which is 85 ka 1,4d, after a bargain, I took it from him for 13k, so I sit and think I needed it))))

    • Victor

I'll take 85 1.4 from you for the same 13k, d3200 free for free)))

Agree before you change your mind)

Hello Arkady! today I wanted to buy this lens, I have a Nikon d800, and for some reason what I was focusing on was out of focus .... why? the lens is visually in excellent condition….

    • Neustrdm

If it was out of focus even in live view, then the problem is with the lens.
If everything is ok in the live view, but the optical viewfinder is undershot or overshot, then you need to fine-tune the focus in the camera menu.

      • Elena

I didn’t try live-view, but I set manual mode and still misses ... not a single frame was as necessary

        • Victor

Manual mode - in terms of manually setting exposure parameters: shutter speed, aperture? Well, it doesn't affect focus in any way.

Try it in LiveView, they write to you correctly above. The picture is likely to improve.

          • Elena

            Manual focus, I mean

            • Victor

Well, were you guided how to hit? Green dot in viewfinder / signal, or liveview with zoom?

              • Elena

On the green point roughly, brought it to the eye of a person and no….

              • Victor

The “green point” is the same autofocus, but with a manual drive. Use live view.

If everything goes well there, you can try to eliminate focusing errors by fine-tuning autofocus in the camera menu.

    • Alexey

are there any problems with any other autofocus lens on this camera?

      • Elena

I put my fifty dollars, ok

        • Trueash

This means that you need to adjust the lens. It's not particularly tricky, the web is full of instructions

          • Specialist

Probably adjust the camera - "fine adjustment of focus". And then you need the girl to disassemble the lens.

            • Alexey

by the way, the “D” optics are only mechanically and are adjusted by changing the number of brass spacers under the bayonet. you can achieve a perfect hit.

    • Pokemon

What lenses do you use with the D800?
Do the lenses you have in stock have everything where it needs to be?
When focusing was AF-C or AF-S?

      • Pokemon

Screwdriver lenses - especially prime lenses, work very well on older cameras - focusing gets where it needs to be. On the D800, the AF module was really scolded and said that on the D810 it worked more correctly and was finished.
It's curious what kind of camera the owner had - for the sake of interest, you could try to shoot with the lens on his camera.

        • Alexey

I have a Nikkor 80-200 2.8D, single-ring version, on D50 - exactly on target, on D600 \ 610 \ 800 - how the moon phase will fall, on D2Xs - almost accurate, rarely smears, on D300s - accurate, on D3s - accurate , but not completely accurate at 200mm, you need to shoot about 175-180mm. but on the path it exactly hits. and in the ancient Kodak too.

Maybe someone faced such a problem with this glass?

  • Vladimir

Please tell me, is it relevant to complete this Nikkor 85 mm 1.4D lens with a Nikon D7000 camera?
Doubts arise due to feedback on the unstable operation of the autofocus of the previously mentioned camera ...

Today I did a test, compared aperture 85 1.4D and Helios 44-M-7. Camera Nikon d80, shutter speed 1/125 s., tripod, flash SB-28, timer. I tried apertures in stops from 5.6 to 16. The result is approximately the same on each stop, but the most significant at f 5.6. I don't even know what to think now. I took a Japanese for 33 thousand six months ago, and ours a year ago for 3700. I will say right away that so far I have had little time to shoot with my 85 1.4D. Maybe in other plots and tasks he will show himself differently.
    But judge for yourself here.

    • Victor

And what can be judged from these pictures, besides the fact that the 85mm leaf, most likely, did not get into the depth of field?

Well, because 85mm, even if you throw it under the hooves of a herd of buffaloes, simply cannot be SO crooked at f / 5.6))?

And in real shooting, how does he show himself?

    • Victor

“I’ll say right away that so far I haven’t had much time to shoot with my 85 1.4D. Maybe in other plots and tasks it will show itself in a different way”

Do you want to say that in six months you managed to remove only a piece of paper with a flash on it ??

    • B. R. P.

Why these tests? 58mm and 85mm lenses are too different. And even more so they are not for filming the text. 85 1.4D exclusively portrait with a gorgeous picture, which neither Helios nor Samyangs can reach. Here are some other stories for you.

    • Andrei

“I don’t even know what to think now.”
Yak what? Think now how to equalize 85 / 1,4D with some fish.

  • Michael

    DO NOT 85D

  • Michael

    44-M-7

  • Michael

In both examples, careful, careful manual focusing. In life, in principle, I'm used to aiming more with my hands, I rarely use autofocus.

    • Victor

“In life, in principle, I’m used to aiming more with my hands, I rarely use autofocus”

And 85 1.4D then why, if it was possible to take three times more inexpensive Samyang?

  • Andrei

Buy a camera with autofocus, buy a lens with autofocus, but focus manually, more “In life, in principle, I’m used to aiming more with my hands.”
Michael, and how do you coriste with a pilosos? Just tsikavo.

Good afternoon Arkady, tell me: in which editor (program) were the JPEG frames presented in the review and taken on the Fujifilm FinePix S3 Pro saved? Were they post-processed? I looked at the “Rav” files via your link via PS (in the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 working environment) and was very surprised, because... the original picture (color rendition) is not just slightly different, but completely different... I tried various Photoshop color schemes and even third-party plugins - I couldn’t reproduce the colors exactly! What's the secret" ? ))
