Barcelona Wedding, Best Locations by Photographer Alex Po

Europe is the best place for any photo shoot, be it a wedding or a regular photo shoot. Hardly anyone will argue with this. Europe is pure beauty and aesthetics, and most importantly, each country is unique in its own way. One of my favorite countries on the European continent is Spain. I love everything there: the people, the language, the cuisine, the weather, the nature, the architecture! One of the most interesting and sightseeing Spanish cities is Barcelona. How about a wedding in the colorful capital of the Catalonia region? Photographer Alex Po is on the line! Let's go!

Wedding photography in the Gothic Quarter

Perhaps the most interesting place in Barcelona is the Gothic Quarter. The buildings here are mostly located so close to each other that you can sometimes reach out and touch the neighboring building! I have lived in different parts of the Gothic Quarter, so you can be sure that I know it like the back of my hand! The room I rented once received about half an hour of sun per day, even though it was on the third of five floors, and there are about 300 sunny days a year in Barcelona. By the way, it was in this place that I learned what real dampness is!

But even despite this, I just adore the Gothic Quarter, because it is unique - there is no other like it anywhere in the world! Even if you are in Barcelona for the first time and do not know your way around the city well, believe me, you will make a great photo shoot, because you do not need to look for beautiful locations here - they are literally around you! Amazing architecture is at every step!

I can say with complete confidence that the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona is the best (and my favorite) place in the capital of Catalonia. It would seem that I have walked it up and down, but sometimes I still find myself in places that I have never been to before. Therefore, the Gothic Quarter is also a slightly magical place, and its unique endless labyrinths are a completely unique location that everyone should visit at least once.

The embankment in Barcelona - Barceloneta

If you leave the Gothic Quarter towards the sea, you will almost immediately find yourself on another planet. Unlike the Gothic Quarter, the Barcelona embankment is flooded with sun, the glare of which plays on the waves of the Mediterranean Sea. And palm trees... Giant palm trees grow everywhere here!

There are also a large number of berths with snow-white yachts on the embankment, which add charm to this place. The quaint bridge and the local beach deserve special mention. In a word, wherever you go, there are amazing places for a photo shoot! By the way, this is where I often came to bask in the warm, albeit winter sun and get a little tan, because in Barcelona even in winter it is possible!

Wedding near the National Museum of Art of Catalonia (h2)

The most important cultural point of Barcelona is the National Museum. You can get right to the huge steps of the museum if you go from the Gothic Quarter towards Montjuic and pass through the ancient Raval district. I will not exaggerate at all if I say that the atmosphere of real royal Spain reigns here. If you want to make a photo shoot with a unique aristocratic charm - this place is ideal for you.

I often walked here, studying every part of this magnificent building, and every time I found new details - you can look at it forever! In such places I always think about how grandiosely they built in ancient times.

Photoshoot on Montjuic in Barcelona

We continue our virtual tour of the city and climb Montjuic. From here, there is a stunning view of the entire city. We can see the Gothic Quarter, which we visited recently, and the embankment with the beach, and the oldest district of Raval, and other unique locations in Barcelona. There are several parks on the mountain, which seem to be unremarkable, but some things still make them unique - for example, huge century-old trees.

Montjuïc Mountain holds a long historical memory that, when you are here and pay due attention to what surrounds you, you can literally feel at your fingertips.

These are just a few places in Barcelona that are suitable for a photo shoot. In fact, there are a huge number of unique locations where you can arrange an unforgettable photo shoot: the Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, the Labyrinth of Horta, which you probably saw in the cult film "Perfume". I hope I managed to convey to you the unique spirit of beautiful Barcelona! With you was photographer Alex Po, see you soon!
