For the opportunity Nikon D800 body camera review Many thanks to Vitaliy.
Nikon D800 is professional full-frame digital SLR camera. On the Internet, you can find many entries about the fact that the Nikon D800 is an amateur or semi-professional camera from Nikon. This is due to the fact that Nikon's professional cameras can be conditionally divided into flagship professional ones (Nikon D3x, D3s, D4 etc.) and just professional (Nikon D300, D700, D800). Personally, I am of the opinion that the Nikon D800 is a professional camera.
The Nikon D800 camera is made in good tone, the entire body of the camera is made of magnesium alloy, the handles and control dials are rubberized. The camera has weather and dust protection. True, protection against weather conditions will be complete if appropriate lenses are used.
Full frame
Nikon D800 is a full-frame camera, of its kind, Nikon for 2012 has only 2 cameras of this level - this is Nikon D700 and Nikon D800E. Nikon D600 - this is already an amateur full frame. Nikon D800 has on board a whopping 36.8 MP (CMOS sensor). Responsible for image formation 36.3MP, which allow you to take photos 7360 by 4912 pixels... As of Fall 2012, the D800 is the narrowest format camera with the highest pixel count. Have Nikon D800 14 times more MP than the first Nikon D1, Nikon D1h. Of course, it is not the quantity of MP that matters, but the quality. And the quality of these almost 40MP is determined by the dynamic range and the level of noise, color reproduction, etc.
Dynamic range
In addition to being the most 'megapixel' camera, the D800 also has biggest DD (dynamic range) among all digital SLR cameras... The camera attracts most of all with its huge DD. Nikon D800 is a good contender for the victory of numbers over film, which also has a very large photo latitude.
Shooting speed
It's funny, but the shooting speed of the Nikon D800 is maximum 4 frames per second... In fact, 4k / s is the declared speed, the camera itself shoots a little faster, some argue that the speed is 4.6k \ s. Even simpler cropped cameras like Nikon D7000, D90 can click faster for the brand new Nikon D800. High speed shooting is very rare. For my tasks, for example, low shooting speed does not play any role. What, after a long time shooting at Nikon D700, with its 5 fps, I felt very weak the difference between 4 fps on the Nikon D800. By the way, in DX mode, the camera can operate at a speed of 5 k / s, and a little subtlety, if you use MB-D12, then the speed in DX mode will increase to 6 k / s.
Buffer
The buffer is the second very important metric for camera performance. Nikon D800 can accommodate
- 16 RAW (NEF) images when all additional functions are disabled, such as noise reduction at high ISO, noise reduction at slow shutter speeds, ADL, automatic ISO and vignetting control. When it changes compression level and color depth settings, the number of pictures that are placed in the buffer does not change. Symbolic, but in the line Nikon D100 – Nikon D800E the largest buffer remains with the old woman Nikon D200 with her 21 RAWs.
- 22 JPEG L Fine, 37 JPEG L Norm, 56 images with JPEG L Basic and with all additional functions turned off, and in JPEG image quality priority mode.
- 15 TIFF images
- if you enable all additional features, then frame buffer becomes equal to 12 pictures in RAW, 14 TIFF, 21 JPEG.
If you use the maximum that the camera is capable of and shoot in RAW, then continuous shooting with a slow memory card should be enough for at least 4 seconds at 4 frames per second. This is a good indicator, however, this is not enough for serious shooting of dynamic scenes.
Nikon D800 has very heavy files, so if you shoot in RAW with 14-bit color depth and without compression, then only 32 pictures can fit on a 400GB memory card. Files weigh:
- 75MB in RAW format no compression, 14bit. On the Internet there are a lot of rumors about the size of the pictures, the numbers may differ, since with different compression and color depth The source file may weigh differently.
- 8-30MB in JPEG L photomat, quality priority.
If we talk about performance, then in my opinion performance label of all CZK NIKON, Nikon D800 in the fall of 2012 holds second place, which already says a lot. Most likely, due to the large file sizes, two memory card slots are provided.
Interesting:
- They say that in order to unleash the potential of the Nikon D800 you need lenses with huge resolution, that is, with great sharpness. This turned out to be not entirely true. The sharpness does not change so much when using the same lens, for example, on Nikon D700 with huge pixels and D800 with small pixels. Well, if the sharpness is low, then you can set the sharpness in Picture Control or in Nikon View NX.
- Having bought Nikon D800 you can immediately get a good result in the photo. This is also a myth. The camera only helps to take a picture, the photographer and other photo equipment are responsible for everything else. It is important how to take pictures. No need to think that a good DD and a huge number of megapixels will somehow seriously help improve your photos.
- Due to the large number of MPs, the effect of stirring affects more than on cameras with fewer MPs. Roughly speaking, take pictures with hand on the Nikon D800 is more difficult, for example, than on Nikon D700, since a large number of MPs are more sensitive to microshifts. I had to take test shots on a 90mm lens with shutter speed no more than 1 \ 200s to completely eliminate the effect of movement. In this case, the amount of MP played a cruel joke
- A large number of MPs require a powerful computer and a lot of free disk space. My Core Quad can barely handle heavy RAW files when working in Lightroom.
- Nikon D800 has a very large clean viewfinder that covers 100% of the frame, this is not enough in Nikon D700.
- Nikon D800E - this is a complete copy of Nikon D800, which was simply removed anti-aliasing filter (in fact, everything is a little more complicated there), thereby increasing the sharpness of the resulting image and at the same time, a greater risk of getting a moire effect on photos and videos.
Video on Nikon D800
The camera can take Full HD video, 1920 * 1080 30k \ s. In P, A, S, M modes, manual and automatic ISO control and correction are possible. exposure. You can select different video quality options. You can also choose which memory card the video will be recorded on. The sound is only mono. The camera has an HDMI output and the ability to connect an external microphone. The main feature of the Nikon D800 is aperture control while shooting a video. That is, finally, Nikon has implemented the ability to fully control the main parameters when shooting video. For example, Nikon D7000, D600, D3s, Nikon D7100 They don’t know how to control the iris while shooting video.
Display
The camera's display is huge, with a diagonal of 3.2 inches. But the Nikon D800 uses the same 921,000 points as in older displays. Nikon D700, D300, D300s, D7000, D90, D3 etc. The display is excellent, it is very pleasant to work with it.
ISO
50 ('Lo1') - 25,600 ('Hi2'). Range without extension is 100-6400. Almost the same as the Nikon D700. The noise level of the Nikon D800 is slightly better for the Nikon D700. ISO 50. very useful when using high-aperture optics in good lighting conditions. You can read about the noise level of all full-frame Nikon cameras in my article 'Image quality of all Nikon FX cameras'.
Focus system
Camera Nikon D800 uses 51 point focusing system with 15 cross-shaped points Multi-CAM3500FX. The 15 center focus points can be operated from F / 5.6 to F / 8.0 and 11 points can be operated from F / 8.0. Operation at high F-numbers is very important when using lenses with teleconverters. It’s a pity that in addition to refining the focus on small apertures, the camera uses a rather old Multi-CAM3500FX, which has not been replaced with anything new. All Nikon full-frame cameras use the Multi-CAM3500FX except the camera Nikon D600... All Nikon D800 focus points are located in the DX area of the image. You can read more about focusing systems in my article 'Focus systems on Nikon cameras'. Nikon D800 It has different focus modes and methods: 3D-tracking, automatic, single-point, etc. The same updated focus module uses Nikon D4.
Two memory cards
Nikon D800 can use two types of memory cards CF (UDMA) and SD (SDHC, SDXC, UHS-I) cards. It would be nice if both slots were for CF cards. You can set up shooting differently using two memory cards. Video is always recorded on only one card, which can be selected in the camera menu.
Measurement exposure
Metering system exposure based on 3D color matrix metering Ⅲ with 91.000 points. You need to get used to the work of the exposure meter of each camera. The exposure meter works quite accurately. exposure almost always what i expected. About measuring systems exposure you can read all Nikon cameras in my article 'Nikon Camera Metering Methods'.
Flash
Nikon D800 Flash supports Creative Lighting Nikon CLS and can remotely control other flashes in TTL auto mode. This is a very useful thing. Minimum excerpt Built-in flash sync is 1 \ 320s. When using external flash units, the Nikon D800 supports high speed sync and can work with flash with shutter speeds up to 1 \ 8000s.
Battery
The camera uses a new lithium-ion battery EN-EL15. The battery lasts more than 1500 shots, the number of shots on a single charge is highly dependent on the shooting method, lens, etc. The battery is good enough, it's a pity you can’t use it with previous cameras. For example, batteries from my D700, D200, D80, D90 were completely the same.
The camera has a million additional useful settings.
- Function HDR. The function can be programmed to be activated via the button bracketingwhich is very convenient.
- Multiple exposure. The function can be programmed to be activated via the button bracketing.
- A virtual horizon that is available in live view and in the viewfinder. It is very convenient to program the virtual horizon function for display in the optical viewfinder, for example, using the AE-L / AF-L button.
- Programmable Depth of Field View Button
- Ability to work with manual optics. You can set the parameters of 10 manual lenses. The photographer who provided me with a camera for review, photographs without problems on the Helios-81N manual lens. More details in the section AI-S и Soviet optics. Of course, Nikon D800 has a built-in focus motor.
- Ability to customize everything you can when viewing images
- The camera has an interesting 25MP crop mode 1.2x, and the standard 15.3MP crop mode 1.5x
- The camera has a USB 3.0 interface
- Nikon D800 has a matrix cleaning system. Cleaning can be turned off, or you can turn it on to turn the camera on or off.
- Camera Nikon D800 has the ability to fine tune the focus (alignment) for different lenses. This is a very useful feature. In this review, all pictures were taken with the lens Tamron 90mm F2.8SP, my copy requires a focus adjustment of '-15'. Also, you can see sample photos from Nikon D800 without processing in the review Lens Volna-3 and in review Tokina AT-X 235 PRO 20-35mm 1: 2.8.
Personal experience:
When shooting in HDR, the camera does not lower the mirror, but takes all the pictures at once with the mirror raised, while in the camera, besides the shutter curtains, something else is noisy, it seemed unusual to me. Personally, I have a camera Nikon D800 liked it. You should not be afraid or rely on a huge number of megapixels. 36MP are not as strong as they are written about. In general, Nikon D800 is a camera that you can write about endlessly. I practically did not feel the difference when working with Nikon D800 и Nikon D700, only the photos are slightly different. Difference between Nikon D800 и Nikon D700 described in D700 review. If I had a choice between the Nikon D700 and D800, I would not have decided what to purchase, but I would be inclined to the D800 because of the great processing capabilities.

Conclusions:
Nikon D800 - great professional full-frame camera with a very large dynamic range and, accordingly, with very good image quality. I recommend.

super camera but the price bites even for professionals
Maybe you’ll like the third dime for the price? ;))
Look at the camera! Є power supply, Tamron 90mm F2.8 SP autofocus? Tobto for the camellia ??? Crazy.
My version of Tamron with a built-in focus motor, auto focus will work on younger cameras. True, you need to look carefully, as there are options without a motor.
Arkady, hello! Thanks again and again for the project. I tried to take pictures with a shutter film on the lens - the result is great! A portrait with a slight haze or, more correctly, a vignette, so to speak. Thanks! Here is the question, I found such an online store (http://grandelectronic.ru/index.php?route=product/product&path=63_117&product_id=83), because decided on the camera - D800. But I don't know anything about this store, although, appreciating the insanely attractive, you can advise something, you can even in a personal. Regards, Oleg.
GrandElectronic b VIVATElectronic - scammers, God forbid you to send even a penny there
Arkady, perhaps you are not entirely right. Nikon has two branches of top-end professional cameras - reporters like Nikon D5 and cameras for artistic shooting like Nikon D800. Nikon D800 is naturally a professional camera, and top-end, but in the branch of cameras for photo artists
"The Nikon D800 is a good contender for winning numbers over film, which also has a very wide latitude." Yes, good ... But only to Pyrroff!
It would be nice to hear thoughts about the photo-width of the film \ slides and DD D800 with its 14.3 steps. I ask, because I know that you are a good specialist on film.
I scan the film and then process the scan using digital technologies. I think that traditional methods of working with film are absolutely inappropriate in our time. Advantages of shooting on film: the ability to get a scan over 24 MP at a color depth of up to 48 - 96 bit in TIFF format (HP SJ 3010 - 4010, native driver or Vuescan Pro, both 4800 dpi), large photographic latitude, reliability and undemanding camera in extreme conditions (frost, high humidity, etc.). It should be noted that even the most advanced scanners and the most powerful processors cannot yet “pull” all the information out of the film. Let me also remind you that modern films have a resolution of up to 200 - 300 lines / mm, and the possibilities of its further increase are far from exhausted. Thus, a film scan provides significantly more post-processing capabilities than a file obtained with a digital camera. It follows from this that film in our time should not be viewed as an alternative to “digital”, but only as a kind of matrix in classical digital technology.
My computer “chokes” when I try to scan more than 100 MP. In principle, the HP SJ 3010 driver allows you to make gigabyte scans, they can be “ordered”, but the computer categorically refuses to try to execute it.
Thank you for sharing your experience. It is interesting how much real information the film transmits, since any document can be scanned in 96 bits, but this will not change its color characteristic.
For those wishing to “plug in the belt” the film I recommend to look here: http://www.rosphoto.org/ru/information/item/135
Yes, the camera is super. But the price bites. Before the appearance of the D600, I was wondering what kind of full-frame camera to take, Nikon or Canon, but the D600 suits me both in price and in functionality. Now I aim at her, I will save up finances.
Yes, d600, as they say in the west, is a gift from the gods :)
For a start, it makes sense to try to “target” the film technology described above. As you can see from Arcadia's review, the D800 in an attempt to outrun the film becomes rather clumsy as a digital camera. As for me - it is better to have a good "rapid-fire" digital camera for operational work and a reliable (better - purely mechanical) film camera together with a scanner. They complement each other perfectly.
Arkady, thanks a lot for great articles and reviews :)
Valentine, please contact me. There is a great desire to ask you some questions on the topic of film, camera, scanner. I will be grateful.

Crazy. I have been thinking for a long time about the whole objective for macro. What do you say about ny? I zagaglі on my little thought, then in the eyes and tests of optics TAMRON does not whistle the very same asset =))
Good drawing, there will be a review soon. Here are the portraits on my copy http://wedding-photographer.tv/photosessions/set-64/tfcd-autumn-pleasure.html
Dyakuyu for miracles put on tsey obktiv. Now it’s easier to vibrate vibrant) Garnі photo) I check the look)
Explicit problems with skinton.
Honestly, I didn’t specially add a single photo with people, so that they would not start a holivar about skinton. But still, some manage to find a skin tone on the flowers :)
And yet it would be interesting to know your opinion about the skin tone. I've bought my D800 for several months now, and I still can't calm down. Really thoughts about (suicide)))))…. about the transition to the third penny from Kenon. Throwing jokes aside, according to my impressions, the picture sometimes comes out strange, some kind of harsh, harsh shadows, the slightest overexposures, especially glare on the skin, are critical. In short, I'm still in some confusion.
Arkady, why did you call the D800 a medium format camera ?! (“As of fall 2012, the D800 is the highest pixel count medium format camera.”)
I was wrong. Corrected. Thank you for your attention.
He probably wanted to write that as many megapixels were crammed into a full frame as optimally would be on a medium format camera;)
Yes, something like that. While writing confused.
Thanks for the review, Arkady! The words “If I had a choice between Nikon D700 and D800, I would not have decided what to buy, but I would have leaned towards D800 because of the great processing capabilities” consoled :-)
Good camera and pics are great.
In the conclusions, look:
... with a very large dynamic range and, accordingly ...
I see that everyone reads the D800 review very carefully. Thanks, corrected.
We read everything ...
Interesting after all.
Thank you for the wonderful and such a necessary review! there is something to think about now ..
It's my pleasure :)
Thanks for the good reviews!
Looking forward to review D600 /
Not at all, I myself would be happy to write about the D600, but so far there is no one to take from.
Thank you for the review! A very good gift for DR (I always read your articles with pleasure, I hope you will continue to delight us with such chic reviews).
:) soon there will be another review with the participation of the D800.
Judging by information from Nikon, cameras D4, 3X, 300S, 700 and 800 are presented as professional. A little earlier Nikon positioned the D800 as a camera to solve a narrow range of tasks, but then something went wrong in the brains of the office, and the camera began to be released in large quantities. Nikon officially announced at Fotokina 2012 that he knew about the problems of the D800 in new batches, the warehouses were full and it was not known when this raw batch would end. In a wide range of users, the D800 turned out to be difficult, and the shortcomings identified by the consumer and the very large amount of footage of questionable quality laid out on the network only hit the brand’s prestige.
Kenon has replaced 5Dm2 with 5Dm3 and this replacement is being discussed by fans of the brand, but Nikon's D800 is not a replacement for the D700 and at least it is not correct to compare these cameras.
The first time Nikon released a professional camera, crude with a lot of flaws, although everything seemed to be happening, on the contrary, in this world of competition, the company, in my opinion, the company is not up to par.
Trying to somehow implement 36 MP, the consumer uses even SF optics http://www.photomanual.ru/test/NikonD800-MFlenses/
which once again confirms the narrow specialization of this camera.
In general, Nikon’s idea is not bad, and there is no doubt that it will be implemented technically more competently, taking into account the needs of prof. photographers, not photomajors and housewives who were waiting for the “masterpiece” button from this camera.
If you write about the shortcomings of the camera, then indicate them directly. Otherwise, it's just water. And do not forget that the D800 has so far the highest DD among all CZK.
Yes, no one argues about DD, it makes sense with such a matrix.
And the D800 has many advantages over older models, but many complain about this small thing:
Burst speed 4 fps. and with baht. handle does not increase.
Diffraction blurring begins to appear already from f / 8
Left focus points are unusable.
Often there is light backfocus on all lenses.
Actually unsuitable for liveview studio.
Inability to burst when buffer overflows.
The inability to correct front / back focus at different focal lengths, that is, the correction for the zoom lenses is the same for the entire range of focal lengths.
Due to the high resolution of the matrix, ultra-high requirements for focusing accuracy depend on both the professionalism of the photographer and the quality of the lens.
The switch of focus points and focus mode cannot be switched with one hand, which is very poorly felt by the finger in the blind.
A terrible switch of the metering zones, it is impossible to switch without thick nails and thin fingers, you have to hang this function on the hot buttons.
When viewing pictures taken in AdobeRGB, there is a clear non-saturation of red shades compared to pictures in sRGB
The LCD screen noticeably greenens the image, especially noticeable in portraits.
14 bit NEF without compression 70mb, you need a computer with i7 and 8GB of RAM, at least if you want to work fine
Really not a 100% viewfinder. at a distance of 5 meters with a 50mm lens there is about 5 cm, on the long side, which is not visible in the viewfinder, but is on the frame
On the ISO above 6400, it is impossible to shoot video due to the strongest noise and incorrect operation of noise reduction.
On some shots when shooting handheld, “micro-blur” is possible (treated with shorter exposures, a tripod or a series of shots)
Inconvenient USB3 connector with some obscure holder.
It is necessary to use “fast cards” CF 60 MB / s and SD 10 cl .;
Unfortunately, the 36,4 megapixel photo does not give “ringing” sharpness when used with the top-end Nikkor lenses.
Extraneous strong noise - “white noise” when recording sound on video both to the internal microphone and to the external one. If you make manual adjustments to the sound, the noise disappears along with the recorded sound. Video recording with sound is basically impossible.
Veneting on all lenses, lack of correction information in the firmware.
To manually set the white balance, the metering target (gray card) must necessarily occupy the entire field of the frame. Not a single small-format DSLR manufacturer has such an extremely strange solution - with wide-angle lenses, it is very difficult to get a full shot of a correctly lit target.
The organization of the menu, the functions are scattered without any special logic, you have to constantly search.
The new type of battery is twice as expensive as the old one and there are no analogues from third-party manufacturers.
The new battery pack is again more expensive than the old one.
The gums are still the same and still peel off.
Inconvenient stock belt (with a camera of this level, they could have been better put) In the sun, the belt heats up so that it burns through the neck)))
These are already good, sensible thoughts, for many they will be very useful when choosing a camera.
Do you quote forums? Share what you encountered, if you have one, such a camera
"At ISO above 6400, it is impossible to shoot video because of the strongest noise and incorrect operation of noise reduction."
Excuse me, what do you shoot on iso above 6400? And please provide a camera model of some manufacturer that would have no noise above 6400 (!!!!!)?
I read your thoughts and realized that you don’t have a camera, and scored those points somewhere in order to confuse people. Take it and shoot it, and then write something about diffraction blur, etc. Already funny, right.
People probably think that after sitting on the forums and taking opinions on goods on a piece of paper, they can talk about their quality, ease of use, and even get a salary increase for misleading users about any company, no matter what.
Oh, how I agree with you Anatoly, especially about this fad:
-Photo 36,4 megapixels unfortunately do not give a “ringing” sharpness when used with the top Nikkor lenses. This is some kind of trouble, but this camera is positioned as a studio :)) And there is a tripod;))
By the way, about the new battery. The same is used in cameras Nikon D7000, D800, D800E, D600, Nikon 1 V1 and others .. Be careful when buying, pay attention to this statement by Nikon https://nikoneurope-ru.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/52350
The vast majority of shortcomings were eliminated with the first, and then with the second firmware.
I strongly doubt that "D800 has the highest DD among all CPCs so far." Compare with Fuji 5s pro.
I have no doubt about that. Filmed on both cameras.
PS. forgot about prof. D3S camera
The undoubted advantage of prof. D700 and D800 cameras in front of the rest is a built-in flash.
Nikon's philosophy does not allow flash units to be used on all models.
That is, do you consider the built-in flash an advantage ????)
How to understand EXIF data “Flash: 16” ???
Most likely 1 \ 16 of full power.
Yes, cobras have no power…. Or joules or presenter (which is more likely). Not so hot for backlit frames.
I would like to change my D90 to a full-frame camera. And the recently released Nikon D600 seems to meet all the parameters, but ... 1. the focus points are too close to the center (they say the focusing system is used from the DX camera). 2. the shutter speed is not shorter than 1/4000 (I will have to take neutral gray filters, since I try to use only high-aperture fixes). 3. there is no dedicated AF-ON button (you can of course hang it on ae-l / af-l). So I started to look closely at the Nikon D800. But her worries about its weight, size and price. Well, the huge file size. And then there's the problem of micro-lubrication. Is it so scary? And what is better to buy? D800 or D600 and spend the saved greenery on 105 / 2.8 macro?
D800 one level up. With 12bit and normal RAW compression, files are not that heavy.
and what lenses suit him?
Conventional lenses for Nikon mount.
Goodnight. As for the built-in microphone, the D800 is stereo. The other day they presented this photo-gun, while none of the jambs described on the network have been identified. Perhaps just the parties already brought to mind. Compare with my 5d mark 3 and go saddened :(
No, the built-in microphone records mono sound, for stereo sound you need an external microphone. Most likely in the Movie settings -> Microphone section you were misled by the dual microphone volume indicator.
EVERYTHING - BOUGHT, TAKE TO THE CLUB! someone is crying here that the price for it is high even for a professional (so only we need it for professionals! and for work!) - recently they have become much cheaper 2900-2700 bodysuits - wake up more weddings and anniversaries to take pictures - you will quickly return money bought 24 -70 for him - now I'm thinking about fixing for him - which one would you recommend?
I think 105 2.8 VR will be nice
Is FULL Navanie possible?
this is probably Nikkor AF-S 105mm f / 2.8G VR correctly I found?
Yes, right, I had in mind it.
I strongly disagree with the writings of the cool pro Anatoly who dazzled this model !!! probably on the instructions of the imperialists - usb3 -very good, fotay on gf or sdhc 10 of which are in abundance right now and cost a penny and the buffer does not overflow at all, the computer has already been given to take a modern one and not sit at the celeron pentium 1 for 15 years! the batteries ate-15 are very good and even penny Chinese ones from ebeyya are suitable for 15 bucks - and they work and hold with a bang, the pen is also from ebeyey for 65 bucks + Chinese eaten-15 (I took it for d7000 and came up for this one!) LCD is not green - the picture is superb, vignetting on my 24-70 NO, the microphone is in perfect order (although I did not take it for video shooting) the exposure metering zone switch is normal - the fingers seem to be ordinary, the focus point switch is not pleasing - for me there is no problem, I agree ONLY PRO LONG EXTRACTS - yes, blur is possible - but that's why they are short - take pictures from a tripod and everything is ok! I'll unsubscribe about everything else a little later! in general fotikom and glass SATISFIED!
Yesterday I twisted this camera in the store. Its dimensions and weight are not critical compared to the Nikon D90. Very comfortable grip. All fingers enter the handle. The screen is really green. But my 20 mm 2.8d and 50 mm 1.8g played quite a girlfriend. Detailing is cool. Fifty dollars will easily go as a staffer. Viewing angle allows. Shirik has finally become wide. The viewfinder seems just huge. Now I don’t want to shoot on DX. I will save for a full frame and only on the D800.
PS. The invention of cropped cameras is a mistake. Small and noisy sensors, narrow viewing angles. If possible, immediately take the full frame. At least the D600. Crop is a complete dead end.
I don’t know who is greening, maybe it’s a problem with my eyes, set the white balance according to LiveView, maybe someone is color blind, personally I don’t
HERE I'm talking about the same thing, everything is ok - the LCD is not green! Adin the clown said and others repeat
I bought this miracle of technology, because the customers are also picky, it’s not convenient when among the wedding guests there are people with cameras “more serious and more expensive” :)
The element of show-off is present ... whoever refutes, he lies godlessly ... only a very narrow circle of people need this size of the picture. Thanks to Nikon for DD, !!!! and setting a fixed 35 1.4G without steaming, you can frame up to 50-80 focus. The problems described by someone ... well, these are his problems, first of all with the head, half of the indicated shortcomings are entirely the fault of the lens. Everything works fine for me, in the store, checking the camera, I immediately looked to see if the screen was “green” (I read :)) no, all types are top ... You could of course take the D700, stopped by the fact that in five years it is possible and 800 will have to be changed, not that would be 700 ... There are complaints about the lens, but not about the carcass ... VERY GOOD APPARATUS, so good that you can take back the words about show-off ...
Ivan is correct that he took d800 - why take old stuff and a much worse device, but about 5 years I doubt very much - a couple of three years and need to be updated ... work more at weddings - you will quickly beat off both the apparatus and the glasses We love photo professionals have to fall in love with poor videographers ! (I myself thought first to do some video filming - I tried it and decided - it's not mine - it's not mine - 12 hours on my feet with a bandura on my shoulder, pushing and then editing on disks for a month at the computer - it's better to take pictures with a good device - well, and move the Mazgi of course ... my clients are satisfied - and with d800 began to take more
The device is good, but in some instances the autofocus module is installed with a bias (left-right). Easily treated with a 1.5 mm Allen key. In this case, all focus points automatically fall accurately (left, center, right). You do not even need to use fine tuning.
Apparatik superovsky - already photographed 3 weddings clients… squeak
but I think why at weddings such a squeak is, it’s the same Vasyl that brings the young details from the D800
