Competition from Radozhiva
The essence of the competition is very simple.: You send a photo according to required conditions, users vote for the best shot, the winner receives a Helios 44-3 2/58 MS lens.
Requirements:

- attached photo, photograph must correspond to the autumn theme, one photo is taken from one author
- photo title
- name and surname of the author of the photo. Submitting someone else's work is prohibited.
- a short text in which you need to write about how, by what means, where or why the photo was taken
The main prize in the competition. Brand new MS Helios 44-3
Vote for this or that work is carried out by pressing the buttons of social networks Google Plus, Twitter, Facebook, Vkontakte. Every Like is a Voice. All likes on the photo page are summarized. The winner is the one with the most votes. The competition starts on October 15th. Submissions can be submitted until November 20, on December 1 the winner will be announced. If you have few friends on social networks, then another prize, the Vega-11U macro lens, will be awarded according to the results of the jurythat will determine the best work.
Attention: The photo will be posted on the site in a reduced form, 720 px on the long side with a watermark added. The list of contestants is updated several times a day. Although for some reason I just hate Photoshop…. I love live photos, well, correct the brightness as much as possible, correct the contrast, and correct the colors .. and this is the maximum, I like when the photo shows the work of a photographer and not the masters from Adobe)))

Professionals do not participate in such contests, because, basically, all the photos were taken with amateur cropped cameras. The funny fact is that a lot of work is done using manual lenses.

I would like to see a test of Soviet manual optics in relation to the full frame. Let's say take the same lens and test it on crop and full frame!

Paired pictures are probably not correctly compared due to different focal lengths. The resolution of the lens drops from the center to the edge, the sharper part of the lens (central) is used on the crop, and the entire lens on the full frame, and therefore the sharpness of the picture will be worse. Or am I wrong?
The focal length of the lens does not change. At full frame, in general, sharpness is better with any lens.
Everything is logical, a good autofocus lens is expensive, not many fans can and are willing to invest in such optics, unless of course they make money with photography. Therefore, the most optimal way to get involved in photography, to experiment, remains the Soviet manual optics!
About Soviet manual optics. Those who are interested in English-language forums and blogs may notice that the further the USSR goes into the past, the higher the ratings of many Soviet lenses rise, contrary to the opinions of homegrown dubbers. A score of 9 or higher on a 10-point scale is far from uncommon.
