Fast, sharp, accurate, dust / moisture protection, good lateral and backlight, constant 2.8 focal 24-70. What else do you need? You want a cool portrait, so take 80mm 1.4 or 58mm 1.4 you will have a cool portrait. If you want to take landscapes, take Nikon 12-24mm f / 4 or sigma art, etc. Yes, with active use, the first issues crunched. By the way, I also found information on the net that after the modification it became even better, and the sharpness decreased very slightly.
